Ford Thames Rear View.
A number of MOD sites (both Army & Navy) would provide assistance when required and called upon by Hampshire Ambulance Service. This normally happened at RTA's etc, or if the local Ambulances were committed on calls. RNH Haslar, HMS Collingwood, Tidworth Barracks Medical Centre, Longmore Camp, and CMH Aldershot would all respond to civilian calls when requested. In fact RNH Haslar and CMH Aldershot had HAS radios fitted in their vehicles.
The following H.A.S staff were known to have served with the RNAS.
Fred Heath. Porstmouth Naval Base and Portsmouth Main Station.
Ricky Hiscutt. RNB Victory Barracks and Havant.
John Hutchinson. RNH Haslar and Fareham.
Brian Samphire. RNH Haslar, HMS Collingwood and Fareham.
Thanks to Ron Lilly for the information.
