Roger Ferre transferred to Dorset Ambulance Service as Assistant Chief (later Director of Ops) to Vernon Joliffe (CAO).
Mick Lockey was eventually appointed Assistant Chief Amb Officer (North & South West Hampshire) - Andover, Winchester, Eastleigh, Hightown, Southampton & the New Forest stations.

David Williamson transferred to Central Control as a Duty Superintendent and later served as a Service Duty Officer (Ops) before his retirement.
Gordon Adams, Arthur Ferris, Arthur Mace, Rolley Jones, John Luck and Thurston Grundy all retired from their respective roles.
David Williamson served in both the LAS & Kent Ambulance Services before joining the instructional staff at SATS; Bishops Waltham. Upon transfer of this facility to Chippenham c1985, he remained with Hampshire replacing Ralph Cousins as ALO at QAH.
Arthur Mace was a former Police Sergeant and joined HAS as an Ambulanceman at Fareham c1968. He was appointed as ALO at the Royal South Hants Hospital, Southampton c1973 upon the departure of Tony Milford to Hong Kong's Fire 'Ambulance Services'.
Rolley Jones served with the Wiltshire Ambulance Service and was ALO at Salisbury General Infirmary before transferring to Hampshire as ALO at Basingstoke.
John Luck served with HAS as an Ambulanceman at Eastleigh and transferred to SATS as an instructor (later to become Senior Instructor). He re-joined Hampshire on the closure of Bishops Waltham.
Bob Smart joined HAS at Winchester later serving as L/A, then S/O and then moving to Basingstoke as AAO.
Thuston Grundy was a civilian 'General Administrative Assistant' and together with Larry Nicolas the Senior Administrative Officer (who was the former Portsmouth Ambulance Service, Administrative Manager); they worked in Ambulance Headquarters at Winchester. Thurston moved to Knowle as 'Training Administrator' c1985.
Roger Ferre joined HAS as an Ambulanceman at Basingstoke. He was later appointed L/A at Alton, S/O at Winchester and then Senior Staff Officer Training. Roger exchanged posts with Arthur Ferris who became D/O South West Division.
Arthur served with Berkshire & Reading Ambulance Service and left his position as Station Superintendent to pursue his training career at Bishops Waltham. He later became the Chief Instructor at SATS and transferred to Hampshire upon closure of the school.
Mick Lockey and Vernon Jones were both HAS. Mick served at Alton and became the first S/O at Basingstoke in 1971. He was appointed Area Superintendent at Winchester, before amalgamation with Portsmouth & Southampton in 1974. Vernon Jones served at Fareham from c1953 until he was appointed S/O at Havant in 1968. He returned to Fareham as Area Superintendent upon the retirement of Sam Richards in 1971. Before becoming allies, Lockey & Jones were regular opponents at the Area and Regional Ambulance Competitions and Mick (with Bill Harding) and Vernon (with Den Kelly) would try and 'out-do each other' for the winners trophy!
Gordon Adams joined HAS c1953 and was stationed at Farnborough & Aldershot Stations. He became a Control Officer at Winchester c1966, followed by Assistant then Chief Controller. He later served as an Assistant County Ambulance Officer (Control) and was appointed Assistant Chief Ambulance Officer - Control & Communications on amalgamation in 1974. He became CAO of Hampshire on the retirement of Doug Hannah c1982.
Pete Goater joined PAS in 1964 after serving in the Royal Navy. He served as a Sub-officer at Portsea prior to amalgamation with Hampshire. Sub-Off's continued for about eighteen months after amalgamation and were eventually replaced by a new rank structure. Pete was the only PAS Sub-officer to be appointed to an operational management position as Station Officer at Havant in 1976. A majority of the Sub-Off's were appointed to Control Officer posts; the remainder continued in the new role of L/A. He returned to Portsmouth in 1984 as Station Superintendent and after serving in other roles, including A&E Contracts Manager, he retired as a Service Duty Officer.
