One of lifes gentlemen, he was in the Royal Corp of Signals, a POW held by the Japanese and forced to work on the railways. Was awarded in the Queens birthday honour list.
In later years joined the old Portsmouth Ambulance Service and moved to the old Winchester Control before retiring and enjoying life until aged 91.
