Portsmouth Ambulance Service Splint 1960's Vintage.
PAS 'lower leg splint' together with a picture (not best quality) of the splint in use. The picture on the right was taken in 1963 and shows Pete 'Pear-drop' Norman and Reg 'Timber' Woods at an exercise in the Central Depot. The exercise was to test inter-agency working between Police Fire & Ambulance and was organised by Mr Reg Dodd (Deputy Chief). It is one of a number of pictures that featured in a full-page article in the Portsmouth News.
Note splint in bottom left corner of the picture on the right. This actual splint came from Tango '455' as detailed under the foot plate (see inset). Click on 'Full Size' button to magnify.
