Many students at Claylands will remember that Les Pullinger was famous for his 'AND' board.
Usually at the start of a training day Les Pullinger would hand round cards with names of medical conditions printed on them. The students had to place the cards face down on their desk.
When asked the student then had to turn the card face up and explain the medical condition printed on the card to the class.
Most students were only able to explain just one or two pieces of information and when finished Mr Pullinger would always say 'AND?' trying to prompt more information.
Even if a student gave a complete answer Mr Pulliger would still say 'AND?'.
